Saeko Tew Sensei, Renshi 6-dan

Tew Sensei started kendo in junior high at age thirteen under Umehara, Kansei, hanshi 8-dan
at Kyoto Renshinkai Dojo where she practiced for three years. Later at Doshisha University she practiced every day under Inoue, Shin'ichi, hanshi 9-dan. After graduating, Tew sensei coached at Doshisha University for the next four years.
Tew sensei also had the opportunity to practice at Kyoto Police Academy for approximately one year.
1988: Joined her current dojo, Covina Dojo. (USA)
2006: Competed in the World Kendo Championships
2008: Coached Team SCKF for the All United States Kendo Championships
2009: Became Head Instructor at Covina Dojo, which continued until 2013
2010: At the Sports Accord Combat Games in Beijing, Tew Sensei took third place in the Women's Individual 6-7 dan division
